On August 20th, 2021, ProcessUnity hosted its inaugural Day of Giving to provide our team with the opportunity to give back to their communities in a meaningful way. Across the countryProcessUnity teamed up with friends and family to make an impact at local charities of their choice. The day was a massive success – our teams strengthened their connection to their communities while engaging with ProcessUnity’s core values. Check out the highlights from our regional clusters below 

Boston

Habitat for Humanity  

ProcessUnity’s Concord team paired up with Habitat for Humanity to rehab a two-family duplex home.

Cradles to Crayons

ProcessUnity’s team volunteered with Cradles to Crayons to sort and bag clothes with their families. The team created bags with one week’s worth of clothes for children returning to school.

Another station focused on packaging back-to-school kits for kids aged 10-12. The kits contained pencils, folders, a glue stick, a pencil sharpener, pens, a ruler, scissors, and a colored pencil pack. The team packed 325 school kits into 32 boxes!

 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Amanda Giroux and her family raised $1600 for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s by organizing a charity football pool. The walk takes place on October 3rd, 2021.

Community Harvest Project

Radhika Indraghanty picked and washed vegetables with the Community Harvest Project to prepare them for donation.

Cleaning Moonlight Beach

John Tondreau and his family removed litter from Moonlight Beach.

Larry Navarro and his family volunteered at a local food bank by assembling, packaging and distributing food boxes for local community members.

Cincinnati

Goodwill & Keep Cincinnati Beautiful

Michelle Wagner, Meggan Weith, Kent Meloy and their families dropped off clothing donations to Goodwill and restocked a community fridge with food and personal items. The team also partnered with Keep Cincinnati Beautiful to adopt an area to keep clean and litter-free.

Connecticut

AHM Youth and Family Services

Todd Boehler and his son Josh power washed the AHM Youth and Family Services building, which provides free guidance, counseling and mental health service.

Ball4aCure

Matt Connors teamed up with local friends to host a basketball tournament to raise money for families affected by pediatric cancer. The group hosted a 70’s themed concert the night before the tournament, “Jam 4 a Cure,” with 3 live bands and over 250 attendees. Altogether, the group raised $45,000 to help families pay for living expenses, medical bills and more.

Habitat for Humanity

Anna Spence and her family donated outdoor furniture to Habitat for Humanity Restore for those affected by storms.

Louisiana

Second Harvest Food Pantry

Dan Scagliarini worked alongside a crew to receive and package a shipment for the Second Harvest Food pantry from local grocers. The crew created about 300 boxes of food for local residents.

Minneapolis

Feed My Starving Children

Kristi Kuhn, Kristi Adami, Tony Wagner, Stepanie Born, Todd Shomion, Marty Clough and their families packed food for children with insufficient access to nutrient-dense meals. The team prepared enough to fill 82 boxes or 17,712 meals. 48 kids will be fed for an entire year from their work.

Island Harvest

Spencer Cohen worked with Island Harvest of Long Island to organize donated food and prepare care packages for community members in need.

Woodbridge Neighborhood Clean-Up

Jessica Hoffman and her family picked up 35 pounds of trash from alongside the road and streams of their Woodbridge, Virginia neighborhood.
